As something of a return to where it all began for me, Sanctuary Sessions is the result of a series of improvisations at the piano. All the sound design elements of this album were taken from the piano, but at each piece's core is a freely improvised idea (often recorded in one take).

Rather than stopping the recording if the traffic noise picks up outside or editing it out later, I've left in all the imperfections. They are a part of this, my most intimate set of recordings to date.
