about

The fourth LP from Jameson Nathan Jones was recorded in an empty church during the height of lockdown in 2020. While they were originally a very private set of improvisations and sonic experiments, the pieces began to take shape as an album. There were no recording engineers, no cameras, and no intended end-game or resulting expectations.

The result is a blend of analog and acoustic textures (including the church's large pipe organ which plays an important role) that live just outside what would normally be considered "ambient" or "modern classical."

The album features strings from the talented Laura Masotto and drums from good friend, BPMoore. Since the album had such private origins, Jameson handled all other aspects of the release - including mixing, mastering, artwork, and writing this in the third person.
